1. Essential Documentation and Booking

• Original Passport: You must carry your original, valid passport (the same one used for booking) at all times. It is required at the train station and the Citadel entrance.
• Tickets: Machu Picchu entrance tickets and train tickets have fixed dates and times. Ensure you have all confirmations (printed or digital) readily available.
• Booking: Due to high demand, we strongly recommend booking your Machu Picchu Full Day tour as far in advance as possible.

2. Acclimatization and Strict Timelines

• Acclimatization: Although the Citadel itself is lower than Cusco, it is highly recommended to spend at least 1 or 2 days in Cusco (3,350m / 10,990ft) before the tour to ensure a comfortable start to your day.
• Timeliness: Be prepared for a very early morning pickup (between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM). This itinerary is intensive; adequate rest the night before is crucial.

3. Packing Light and Efficiently

• Baggage Restriction: Only a small personal backpack (up to 20 liters) is allowed inside Machu Picchu. Large backpacks must be checked at the entrance (for a fee).
