1.- Booking Conditions

The following terms and conditions, along with the general information contained on this website (hereinafter referred to as "Terms and Conditions"), form the basis of the contract between you and Life Expeditions (hereinafter referred to as "the Operator"). These apply to your booking made through this website or directly via email. By paying your deposit, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

2.- Disclaimer

The Operator organises all tours on the condition that it shall not be held responsible for any illness, injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity that may arise, directly or indirectly, from vehicle defects, weather conditions, external causes, or acts of default by any company or individual involved in the transportation of passengers or the organisation of our tours. We strongly recommend that you obtain appropriate travel insurance prior to your trip.

By participating in the tour, you expressly assume the risks and responsibilities mentioned, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, release the Operator, as well as its officers, employees, directors, agents, and any other associated persons, from any claim of liability, loss, damage, or expenses (of any kind and whether direct, indirect, or consequential) arising from any event, including, but not limited to: personal injury or death, loss or damage to property, acts that may be interpreted as negligent or accidental, and any other kind of loss, damage, distress, or emotional or nervous disturbance suffered by you or any other person in relation to this reserved activity.

Furthermore, you accept that you have been advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance for all persons named in the booking and/or who will participate in the tour.

By participating in the tour, you also agree to the following conditions:

• Your successors, executors, and administrators are bound by these Terms and Conditions.
• You agree not to initiate any legal proceedings in any country in relation to the mentioned risks and responsibilities, and to indemnify the Operator against any claims.
• You confirm that you are in good physical condition and do not suffer from any medical condition that may affect your ability to undertake the tour.
• You agree to receive medical treatment in case of injury, accident, or illness during the tour, and to indemnify the Operator for any claim, cost, or expense related to such treatment.
• You agree that any recording (video, audio, or photographs) taken during the tour will not be used in any production or advertising without the prior consent of the Operator. However, the Operator may use such recordings at its discretion without the need for prior approval.
• You agree to follow the instructions of your driver/guide/host and to ensure that any children under your care do the same.

Additionally, the Operator shall not be held responsible for personal injuries and/or damage to property caused by you, and the related costs will be your responsibility. You will indemnify the Operator with respect to these costs.

3.- Dietary Requirements

We endeavour to accommodate most special dietary requirements when notified in advance, but we operate in extremely remote environments and this is not always possible.

4.- Payments

Please refer below for the deposit requirements according to your specific tour. You agree to make the payment by credit card. The amount charged will be as stated in US dollars on your invoice. Your card will be charged for the stated amount or converted into your local currency according to your credit card company’s policies.

Depending on the currency of the booking, your credit card’s currency, and the issuing country, your credit card provider may impose currency conversion fees and other charges, according to its internal policies. We are not responsible for currency conversion or for any additional charges imposed by your credit card provider.

5.- Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation fees for all Life Expeditions tours are charged per person as follows: A 50% deposit is required to secure the dates. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

6.- Operator Cancellations

The Operator reserves the right to modify or cancel any trip if weather or other circumstances require it. In the event of a cancellation prior to departure, a credit for future trips will be offered.

7.- Confirmation Email

Once payment has been completed, you will receive an email with your booking confirmation. This email will include important details about what to expect, what to bring, what is provided, and where you need to be and at what time. It is essential that you read this information carefully to ensure you are adequately prepared for your hike. You are responsible for ensuring you dress appropriately and wear suitable footwear for the tour.

8.- Changes to the Terms and Conditions

The Operator reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice to customers. Any booking you make will be subject to the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of your booking, so you are advised to read all Terms and Conditions carefully at the time of making your reservation.
